Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Aaron Rodgers’ status for Week 12 vs. the Chicago Bears is still uncertain as he deals with a fractured left wrist.
Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin discussed Rodgers’ injury on Tuesday, shortly after news broke that the four-time MVP wouldn’t need surgery.
“Steelers QB Aaron Rodgers underwent further tests Monday that confirmed he won’t need surgery on his fractured left wrist, sources tell me and @rapsheet.bsky.social. Rodgers is pushing to play Sunday at Chicago. But doctors must clear him and his status moving forward is TBD,” NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero posted on Bluesky. “Mike Tomlin confirms Aaron Rodgers won’t need wrist surgery, but won’t know until later in the week if Rodgers can play. ‘Really it’s just about bracing it and securing it for his comfort and safety, and then it’s about how functional he is.’ Friday will be a big day.”
Rodgers suffered his injury during the second quarter of Sunday’s Week 11 win against the Cincinnati Bengals.
