Aaron Rodgers Had One Of ‘Worst Games’ Of Career Vs. Chargers

Rodgers went 16-for-31 for a season-low 51.6% completion percentage on Sunday

The Pittsburgh Steelers had arguably their biggest win of the season in Week 9 vs. the Indianapolis Colts and Aaron Rodgers was praised as the MVP of the team and a top 10 quarterback.

Rodgers and the Steelers followed up their huge victory by laying an egg in Week 10 on “Sunday Night Football,” falling to the Los Angeles Chargers, 25-10.

The four-time MVP said afterward that he “didn’t play very good at all,” but that’s an understatement.

Sunday was Rodgers’ worst performance of the season and according to Christopher Carter of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, one of the worst games of his career.

“One of the worst games of Rodgers’ career when you look at the film and see several guys open on plays during which he either turned the ball over or took a sack,” Carter wrote. “He seemed to miss the open option on most plays, and even when he found them, he had multiple overthrows. He needs to get back to what he was doing in the first half of the season.”

The 41-year-old signal-caller went 16-for-31 for a season-low 51.6% completion percentage with just 161 passing yards, one touchdown and two interceptions. Rodgers had a season-worst 50.6 passer rating, was sacked three times and took a safety in the first quarter as well.

His overall numbers for the season are still solid, but Rodgers’ passing yardage total has decreased in three straight games and he’s been sacked nine times over the stretch too.

Rodgers enters Week 11 vs. the Cincinnati Bengals with a 66.8% completion percentage, which is his highest since he won his last MVP in 2021 and his 97.2 passer rating is his best since in four years as well.
