Aaron Rodgers Leaves Steelers’ Week 11 Win Early With Injury

The team is waiting on an update

The Pittsburgh Steelers may have a muted celebration after Aaron Rodgers left Sunday’s 34-12 win over the Cincinnati Bengals early with a wrist injury.

Rodgers exited the AFC North contest late in the second quarter after landing on his left hand. The Steelers listed the quarterback as questionable to return, but Mason Rudolph completed the division matchup at Acrisure Stadium.

Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin said after the game, per ESPN’s Brooke Pryor, that Rodgers will undergo further evaluation on Monday morning.

Rodgers was following a sloppy Week 10 performance with a bounce-back effort before the injury. The four-time MVP completed nine of 15 passes for 116 yards and a touchdown pass to Kenneth Gainwell.

Pittsburgh didn’t slow down behind Rudolph, who went 12-of-16 for 127 yards and a touchdown. The Steelers scored 24 points in the second half, including a 73-yard pick-six from Kyle Dugger and a 34-yard James Pierre fumble recovery returned for a touchdown.

Rodgers hasn’t missed a game since tearing his Achilles in Week 1 of the 2023 season, and he previously played at least 16 games in eight of the last nine seasons. Yet the Steelers could proceed with caution after extending their AFC North lead on Sunday.

An update from Monday’s evaluation could offer more clarity on Rodgers’ availability for a Week 12 road game against a former NFC North foe he claimed to own, the Chicago Bears.
