Steelers’ Aaron Rodgers Can Join Elite Club Featuring NFL Legends

The four-time NFL MVP is poised to add to his Hall-of-Fame worthy resume

Aaron Rodgers isn’t the G.O.A.T. but he is poised to join a list of all-time greats.

ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports that Rodgers will become the fifth quarterback to beat all 32 NFL teams if he takes the field Week 8 vs. the Green Bay Packers and leads the Pittsburgh Steelers to a win on Sunday Night Football.

The four quarterbacks already on the list are arguably the best in league history: Tom Brady, Peyton Manning, Drew Brees and Brett Favre.

Of course, Rodgers following Favre is old news by now. Both spent more than a decade in Green Bay. Both won a Super Bowl for the Packers. And both won multiple NFL MVP Awards while calling Lambeau Field home.

Both also left Green Bay for the New York Jets. And both struggled in the Big Apple. Favre lasted just one year with the Jets before finishing his career with the Minnesota Vikings. Rodgers technically made it through two seasons, but spent the 2023 campaign on injured reserve after suffering a torn Achilles tendon in Week 1.

Last week, Rodgers finally ended months of speculation and signed his highly-anticipated contract with the Steelers, getting a one-year deal worth $13.6 million. The deal includes $10 million guaranteed and could be worth as much as $19.5 million, according to NFL Network.

Rodgers, who will wear No. 8 with the Steelers, is set to address the Pittsburgh media for the first time on Tuesday.

Rodgers will face the Jets in Week 1 when Pittsburgh visits MetLife Stadium. To complete the reunion tour, Rodgers and the Steelers will host the Packers in Week 8.
