New Teammate? Steelers’ Social Media Post Triggers Aaron Rodgers Rumor

Aaron Rodgers won a Super Bowl ring with the Packers

Aaron Rodgers hasn’t even played his first snap in a Steelers uniform but the Pittsburgh quarterback apparently already added another ring to his resume.

When Rodgers signed his one-year contract with the Steelers on Saturday, the team posted a photo on its social media channels. In that photo, Rodgers’ left hand is sporting a dark ring on his fourth finger. The ring finger. As in … married.

PEOPLE reports Rodgers initially sparked marriage rumors last month when he attended the Kentucky Derby sporting a similar dark-colored ring. During an appearance in December on “The Pat McAfee Show,” Rodgers revealed he had a girlfriend.

Rodgers previously had been engaged to actress Shailene Woodley before the relationship ended in 2022. Before that, Rodgers had a high-profile, two-year relationship with former NASCAR driver Danica Patrick.

Last month, Patrick appeared on “The Sage Steele Show” and told the former ESPN anchor Rodgers was “emotionally abusive.” In explaining the 2020 breakup with Rodgers, Patrick said, “Yeah, he leaves a trail of blood.  I don’t think I’m saying too much earth-shattering stuff after we — there’s been enough out there.”

Rodgers could face questions about his past and current romantic relationships on Tuesday, when he addresses the media in Pittsburgh for the first time since signing with the Steelers. The four-time NFL MVP is coming off a pair of disappointing seasons with the New York Jets following an 18-year run with the Green Bay Packers.

Rodgers earned Super Bowl MVP honors after leading the Packers to a 31-25 victory over the Steelers in Super Bowl XLV.

Now with the Steelers, Rodgers will face the Jets in Week 1 when Pittsburgh visits MetLife Stadium. To complete the reunion tour, Rodgers and the Steelers will host the Packers in Week 8.
