The already-talented Pittsburgh Pirates rotation should get another boost later this season when the organization’s top prospect inevitably makes his MLB debut.
Bubba Chandler looked solid in his seven starts last season after he originally arrived at Triple-A Indianapolis. He boosted the hype around his 2025 season with a strong performance in MLB’s Spring Breakout Game against the Philadelphia Phillies.
Chandler was scheduled to make his season debut with Indianapolis on Saturday before inclement weather postponed the game. The Pirates prospect will now have to wait an extra day to take the mound in game action for the first time in 2025.
Chandler went 10-7 with a 3.08 ERA in 26 appearances (23 starts) between Double-A Altoona and Triple-A Indianapolis last season in the Pirates organization.
