The Pittsburgh Steelers are 9-7 on the season heading into a “Sunday Night Football” game against the Baltimore Ravens. The Steelers will be crowned champions of the AFC North with a win, but will be eliminated from postseason contention with a loss.
A season full of extremely high highs and very low lows fittingly comes down to one last bout with a division foe.
Win or lose, no one knows whether or not this will be the last time we see future Hall of Fame quarterback Aaron Rodgers take the field.
His 21st season in the league was heavily rumored to be the last for the 42-year-old Super Bowl champion; however, recently rumors have begun circulating that Rodgers is not done yet.
If so, NFL Network’s Ian Rapaport asks where better than Pittsburgh to continue his legendary career?

“If you thought that three or maybe four offseasons of uncertainty would be enough for Aaron Rodgers, you would be wrong,” Rapaport said. “I wouldn’t be surprised if there’s another offseason of uncertainty for Aaron Rodgers, except it’s for good reasons this time.
“He played pretty well and seems to have found a home. And it’s a mutual admiration society here.”
Rodgers told reporters on Wednesday that he has been thinking about returning next season, considering how well his first year in Pittsburgh has gone. Rapaport points to his relationships made within the locker room as a key reason he could be back.

“He really has made some meaningful, strong relationships, found friends in the locker room,” Rapaport said.
“And then for the Pittsburgh Steelers, they really have liked what he has brought from football, to off the field, in the locker room, all of those things. Running it back again, having him be a bridge quarterback for a younger starter actually makes a lot of sense. If you need one, why would you not have the Hall of Famer who’s already in your building?”
