The Pittsburgh Steelers are not making any headway in the freak incident that has landed all-world talent TJ Watt on the sideline with a punctured lung.
The four-time first-team All-Pro edge rusher has already been ruled out for Sunday and will miss his second consecutive game.
Perhaps feeling the heat, head coach Mike Tomlin’s Steelers hit the market to bring back a familiar face, Jeremiah Moon, who was added to the practice squad on Friday.
Moon has been all around the NFL since he was signed as an undrafted free agent by the Baltimore Ravens in 2022.

He spent two seasons in Baltimore, floating on and off the active roster before being signed by the Steelers in 2024. He played in 13 games last season and did most of his work on special teams.
In March of 2025, he signed a one-year, one-million-dollar deal with Pittsburgh but was waived during training camp.
Moon spent most of this season on the Carolina Panthers practice squad but will now return to the Steel City.

He has been signed to the active roster and should be in uniform on Sunday.
Pittsburgh has waived defensive tackle Brodric Martin in a corresponding move.
Also this week, the Steelers have brought back 2021 third-round draft pick Trey Sermon, the standout Ohio State Buckeyes running back. Sermon has bounced around the NFL since being drafted and has been on and off the Steelers’ practice squad throughout this season.
