Aaron Rodgers Finally Looks ‘Comfortable’ During Steelers’ Playoff Push

Rodgers is finishing the season strong

There’s always an adjustment period when a player joins a new team, especially in the NFL. Players need to adjust to new cities, new training facilities, new teammates, new coaches, new playbooks and more.

That goes for Aaron Rodgers, who joined the Pittsburgh Steelers this year after spending the last two years with the New York Jets and the previous 18 seasons with the Green Bay Packers.

But after a few months, Rodgers finally seems to be settling in with the Steelers. After leading them to back-to-back wins with two of his best passing performances of the year, he looks like his old self again.

“What we saw last night, that’s the most comfortable Aaron Rodgers has looked in three years,” Kyle Brandt said on “Good Morning Football” after Pittsburgh’s 28-15 rout of the Miami Dolphins on Monday Night Football.

“That team can win a playoff game,” Brandt continued. “It’s the best I’ve seen him in three years. It’s the best I’ve seen Pittsburgh all year. There’s some juice right now from Pittsburgh.”

Brandt also noted that Rodgers has limited his media exposure this season, which may be helping him stay more focused on the field. He’s declined interview requests and is no longer doing his weekly appearances on “The Pat McAfee Show.”

Rodgers recently acknowledged that he plays well in the cold after so many years in Green Bay. He’s also embraced the Steelers’ underdog mentality.

Whatever the reason, Rodgers is peaking at the right time despite playing through a wrist injury, making his recent performance even more impressive. If he keeps it up, Pittsburgh could surprise some teams in January.
