Former NFL linebacker Myles Jack was arrested on Tuesday morning in Texas and is facing felony and misdemeanor firearm charges, according to multiple reports.
A Frisco Police Department news release said that officers heard gunshots from inside a residence while conducting a welfare check and subsequently saw a second-story window break and the 30-year-old Jack climb out and fall to the ground.
According to a report by the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, Jack was taken into custody at 7:12 a.m. on Tuesday and taken to a hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Per ESPN’s Michael DiRocco, the former second-round pick was charged with deadly conduct/discharge of a firearm, which is a third-degree felony, and misdemeanor discharge of a firearm in certain municipalities.
Jack played six seasons with the Jacksonville Jaguars from 2016 to 2021 before signing with the Pittsburgh Steelers in March 2022.
