SportsNet Pittsburgh (SNP) will provide comprehensive pregame and postgame coverage of Sidney Crosby’s pursuit of the Pittsburgh Penguins’ all-time points record Tuesday as the Penguins host the Edmonton Oilers at PPG Paints Arena. Pregame coverage begins at 7 p.m. ET on SportsNet Pittsburgh and SNP 360, with the game airing nationally on TNT.
Crosby enters the game just three points away from surpassing Mario Lemieux as the Penguins’ all-time leading scorer. Pregame and postgame programming will be hosted by SNP’s studio hosts, Dan Potash and Jay Caufield. Potash, who has covered Crosby throughout his entire NHL career, and Caufield, in his 18th season as SNP studio analyst, will guide fans through what could be a defining night in Penguins history.
The pregame show will focus on Crosby’s record chase and his marquee matchup with Connor McDavid, followed by a feature on the history of the Penguins franchise scoring record.
Should Crosby tie or surpass Lemieux’s mark, SportsNet Pittsburgh’s postgame coverage will expand to include full postgame press conferences and locker room reaction, along with in-depth analysis and commentary from the SNP studio team.
