The Pittsburgh Steelers are right back on track following Sunday’s seismic win over the Baltimore Ravens.
After dropping the last two games, the Steelers rebounded with a 27-22 victory at M&T Bank Stadium. The road triumph gives the Steelers sole possession of first place atop the AFC North.
The Steelers followed one of their worst offensive outings of the Mike Tomlin era with a much better showing. A wrist fracture didn’t deter Aaron Rodgers from completing 23 of 34 passes for 284 yards and a touchdown. The 42-year-old also put Pittsburgh on the board with his first rushing touchdown since Week 17 of the 2022 season.
Baltimore controlled the time of possession by dominating on the ground. The Ravens ran for 217 yards compared to Pittsburgh’s 34 behind Derrick Henry, and Baltimore converted three fourth-down opportunities.
Those trends typically bode well, but the Ravens still dropped their fifth home loss of the season. John Harbaugh’s offense settled for two field goals inside the red zone during the fourth quarter, and a controversial call cost them another chance for a touchdown.

Officials overturned a go-ahead Ravens score after determining that Ravens tight end Isaiah Likely didn’t hold the ball long enough inside the end zone. Three plays later, Baltimore turned the ball over on downs with 2:28 remaining.
A three-and-out quickly gave Baltimore the ball back, but the clock expired after Alex Highsmith sacked Lamar Jackson on third down.
Last Sunday’s 26-7 loss to the Buffalo Bills raised several questions about Pittsburgh’s playoff chances and Tomlin’s future, but a Week 14 win puts the Steelers back in the driver’s seat with four games remaining. They’ll look to maintain that edge when hosting the Miami Dolphins on “Monday Night Football.”
