Ravens Rule Out Two Key Defenders Ahead Of Steelers Matchup

Baltimore's defense will be shorthanded in Week 14

The Pittsburgh Steelers are preparing for a massive Week 14 matchup against the Baltimore Ravens that could have major implications when it comes to the battle for the top spot in the AFC North. Heading into this game, though, the Ravens opted to rule out a pair of key defenders who are working their way back from injuries.

Both linebacker Tavius Robinson and safety Ar’Darius Washington are on injured reserve for Baltimore currently, but they practiced throughout the week in an effort to return for this pivotal clash. The Ravens are playing things safe, though, as both Robinson and Washington won’t play against the Steelers on Sunday.

Robinson has played in six games this season before suffering a foot injury that landed him on injured reserve, racking up 17 tackles, two sacks, one pass deflection and one fumble forced during his time on the field. Washington, on the other hand, hasn’t played this season after suffering a torn Achilles tendon back in May.

These guys will be back for Baltimore soon, but Pittsburgh won’t have to worry about them on Sunday when it attempts to move back up into the No. 1 seed in the division. Kickoff for this highly anticipated contest is scheduled for 1 p.m. ET, and when all is said and done, one team will be atop the AFC North with a 7-6 record, while the other will fall back below .500 with a 6-7 record.
