Will Injured Ravens Superstar Lamar Jackson Play Vs. Steelers?

Will Jackson suit up on Sunday?

Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson has been dealing with numerous injuries this season. The two-time NFL MVP missed three games in October and hasn’t looked the same since returning in Week 9.

Jackson’s coming off a terrible November where he completed just 56 percent of his passes with one touchdown and three interceptions in four games. He’s clearly been hampered and hasn’t played like himself.

The Ravens received a scare on Thursday when Jackson missed practice due to an ankle injury after being limited at practice on Wednesday, potentially putting his status for Sunday’s game against the Pittsburgh Steelers in doubt.

While Baltimore’s offensive coordinator, Todd Monken, acknowledged that Jackson’s “battling injuries,” he said that he expects Jackson to play on Sunday.

“I would expect Lamar would play on Sunday,” Monken told reporters after Thursday’s practice.

This could be good news for the Steelers, as Jackson has struggled against Pittsburgh throughout his career. He’s only 3-5 against the Steelers in the regular season with a 58 percent completion rate and more interceptions (nine) than touchdown passes (eight).

Not only is Jackson banged up at the moment, but Mike Tomlin also seems to have his number.

Sunday’s game will be a huge matchup for both teams, who are tied for first place in the AFC North at 6-6. The winner will claim sole possession of first place and have the inside track to win the division.
