The Pittsburgh Steelers suffered a 31-28 defeat at the hands of the Chicago Bears in Week 12, and with the Baltimore Ravens taking down the New York Jets, they officially lost control of the AFC North division. Frustrations are at an all-time high, and it sounds like franchise legend James Harrison has had enough of the team’s subpar performance on defense.
All season long, the Steelers’ defense has failed to meet expectations, and that continued against the Bears. Whether it be players underperforming in the scheme, or Mike Tomlin and the coaching staff failing to make the proper adjustments, things have looked off with this unit, and Harrison is getting sick of watching this unit struggle.
“We’re undisciplined, or poorly coached, or both,” Harrison said on “Deebo and Joe.” “We have a horrible defensive scheme. It’s trash, it’s garbage. We can’t adjust at halftime, it’s nonexistent. Or we’re just being outcoached, or both.”
Not having Aaron Rodgers under center certainly didn’t help the Steelers’ cause, but even then, the team still scored 28 points, which should be more than what’s needed to pick up a victory. The defense couldn’t slow down Caleb Williams and company, though, and the end result was another worrisome defeat.
After a hot start to the season, Pittsburgh is beginning to fall apart, and with Baltimore officially back on track, it is running out of time to find answers to its struggles. The Steelers will be back in action in Week 13 for what has quickly become a very important matchup against the Buffalo Bills.
