Jalen Ramsey didn’t finish the Pittsburgh Steelers’ Week 11 win over the Cincinnati Bengals.
Early in the fourth quarter, Ramsey got ejected for throwing a punch at Ja’Marr Chase. The All-Pro defensive back had a heated encounter with the star wide receiver that resulted in a 15-yard penalty against the Steelers.
Ramsey told reporters after the game, via Steelers Now’s Brendan Howe, that Chase spat on him before he threw the punch.
“I don’t give a (expletive) about football after that,” Ramsey said. “Respectfully.”

Fellow Steelers cornerback Joey Porter Jr. didn’t see the alleged spitting incident, but he supported his teammate after hearing Ramsey’s side of the story.
“I would have reacted the same way if somebody did that to me,” Porter said, per ESPN’s Kimberley A. Martin. “I know how my guy is. He ain’t going to overreact for no reason. He’s been playing this game for a long time.”
Chase denied spitting on Ramsey, per ESPN’s Ben Baby.

Ramsey, who recently moved to safety in place of the injured DeShon Elliott, registered four tackles and one pass defense before getting ejected. Pittsburgh avenged a Week 7 loss by holding Cincinnati to 297 total yards.
The Steelers stymied Chase to 30 yards — his lowest single-game tally since Week 4 — on 10 targets during a decisive 34-12 victory. Joe Flacco couldn’t replicate last month’s performance against the familiar AFC North rival, going 23-of-40 for 199 yards, a touchdown and an interception.
Ramsey could face a suspension when the Steelers play the Chicago Bears next Sunday.
