The Pittsburgh Steelers continued their primetime struggles on Sunday Night Football in Week 10, losing 25-10 to the Los Angeles Chargers at SoFi Stadium.
The Steelers are now 0-3 in primetime this year and have lost six straight night games dating back to last season.
Since starting the year 4-1, Pittsburgh has lost three of its last four games — all in primetime. Sunday’s 15-point loss was the team’s largest margin of defeat this season and came on the heels of a disappointing trade deadline.
The Steelers jumped out to an early 3-0 lead on Chris Boswell’s 59-yard field goal, but the game quickly went downhill from there. Aaron Rodgers took a safety later in the first quarter, shifting the momentum back to the Chargers, which they never relinquished.
Los Angeles pulled ahead with 10 points in the second quarter and cruised from there, scoring in every quarter. Meanwhile, Pittsburgh’s sputtering offense didn’t score again until the fourth quarter, by which point it was too late.

Rodgers endured one of his worst games of the year, sparking a negative postgame reaction from Mike Tomlin. In addition to the safety, he also threw two interceptions, was sacked three times and completed a season-low 51.6 percent of his passes, finishing with a season-worst 50.6 passer rating.
That wasn’t good enough to beat Justin Herbert, who played through an ankle injury to throw for 220 yards and a touchdown. It didn’t help that Ke’Shawn Williams also lost a fumble, contributing to the visitors’ miscues.

The 10 points were a season low for the Steelers, who just couldn’t get anything going on offense despite another strong game from Jaylen Warren, who finished with 91 scrimmage yards on 16 touches.
Pittsburgh falls to 5-4 with the loss, trimming its lead to just one game over the resurgent Baltimore Ravens in the AFC North. The Steelers will try to bounce back next week at home against the Cincinnati Bengals, who beat them on Thursday Night Football in Week 7 and are coming off their bye week.
