Pirates 2026 spring training schedule: Dates, stadium info & what to know for fans visiting Bradenton

While MLB’s 2025 season recently ended, baseball fans can’t wait for the next season to start and once again watch the Pittsburgh Pirates. Spring Training games are the perfect appetizer before the main course.

The Pirates, who are part of the Grapefruit League, will play 31 games in Florida, starting on Feb. 21. Home games will be played at LECOM Park in Bradenton, Fla.

Along with playing against Grapefruit League opponents, the Pirates will host a special World Baseball Classic game against Team Colombia.

The Pirates missed the playoffs this past season, but the team’s future is bright, thanks to star pitcher Paul Skenes and outfielder Oneil Cruz. What can we expect from Pittsburgh when the team showcases the present and future of the franchise?

Pirates 2026 spring training schedule and key dates

All 30 teams will take the field on Feb. 21 with the Pirates facing the Orioles. The first home game will be against the Rays on Feb. 22.

The Pirates will head to Florida’s east coast for the first time since 2006 to play the Astros (Feb. 28) and Cardinals (March 1). The club will host Team Colombia in a World Baseball Classic showcase matchup on March 3.

Where the Pirates play spring training: LECOM Park guide

During Spring Training, the Pirates will play home games at LECOM Park in Bradenton, Fla.

LECOM Park is home to the Bradenton Marauders, Pittsburgh’s Single-A affiliate. The second-oldest Minor League park, LECOM Park has been in operation since 1923 and can accommodate up to 8,500 fans.

Some of the best features of LECOM Park include a tiki bar in right-center field and a boardwalk that spans the entire outfield. Fans can walk around the ballpark and not miss a second of the action.

Another feature, The Plaza by first base, allows fans to relax and escape the game for a second. The Plaza has various food and drink options, including hot dogs, burgers and chicken fingers. Drinks can also be found at The Plaza and the tiki bar.

There’s limited parking near LECOM Park. The Outfield Parking Lot costs $15 per vehicle, while the Home Plate Lot costs $25 per vehicle. Public Lot availability is extremely limited. For more information on parking, click here!

Travel tips for visiting Bradenton and Sarasota

Before or after a game, fans have an opportunity to explore Bradenton. “The Village of the Arts” is one of the featured attractions. The community has restaurants, bakeries, art galleries and more.

If you are looking for adventure, the Riverwalk near Palmetto features Rossi Waterfront Park and a skatepark. The Riverwalk’s most famous attraction is Pier 22, a restaurant with views of the river.

Other attractions include the science museums and Manatee Performing Arts Center.
