Bengals Rookie To Return From Injury Week 7 Vs. Steelers

The rookie has missed the team's last four games

The Cincinnati Bengals will be getting a big part of their defense back from injury in Week 7 on “Thursday Night Football” vs. the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Bengals defensive coordinator Al Golden said on Tuesday that rookie first-round pick Shemar Stewart will play in the primetime showdown for the first time since exiting the team’s Week 2 game against the Jacksonville Jaguars with an ankle injury.

Cincinnati selected the defensive end with the 17th overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft.

“Al Golden said Shemar Stewart will play and see a lot of action vs. the Steelers,” Bengals beat reporter Kelsey Conway of the Cincinnati Enquirer posted on X.

Stewart played 37 defensive snaps in his NFL debut in Week 1 but didn’t record any tackles. He made his first start in Week 2 vs. the Jaguars, played 29 defensive snaps and had two tackles.
