Why Steelers’ Aaron Rodgers Likes Direction Offense Is Heading

'I think we are playing smart football'

The Cleveland Browns defense had allowed an average of 247.8 yards per game leading into Sunday, presenting a challenging matchup for the Pittsburgh Steelers offense.

The Steelers rose to the challenge, clinching a 23-9 victory with a total of 335 yards and two touchdowns.

Quarterback Aaron Rodgers expressed his confidence in the direction the offense is taking and shared his thoughts on the team’s progress.

“I think we are playing smart football,” Rodgers said Sunday. “Art (Arthur Smith) got us into a great rhythm today. When we take care of the football and don’t turn it over, we’ll have a chance in any game. If we can control the line of scrimmage, we will be playing downhill.”

The Steelers avoided any turnovers during their game against the Browns, and they successfully protected Rodgers from sacks. Their ability to prevent a sack is particularly impressive given the challenge presented by pass rusher Myles Garrett.
