The Pittsburgh Steelers are putting the finishing touches on their preparations for their Week 6 clash with the Cleveland Browns, as they are looking to pick up their fourth win of the season after returning from their Week 5 bye week. Ahead of this game, the team received a great injury update regarding star cornerback Jalen Ramsey.
After acquiring Ramsey in a trade with the Miami Dolphins over the summer, the former All-Pro cornerback has immediately taken on a big role in the team’s secondary. In his first four games with his new team, Ramsey has racked up 14 tackles, one interception and four pass deflections so far.
In the week leading up to this game, Ramsey was dealing with a hamstring injury that threw his status for Week 6 up in the air. Initially, he was listed as questionable for this game, but on Saturday morning, the team removed Ramsey from the injury report, clearing him to take the field on Sunday afternoon.
“Steelers upgraded Jalen Ramsey from questionable and he now is expected to play Sunday vs. Cleveland,” Adam Schefter reported in a post on X.
With Ramsey healthy and on the field, that will make things even more difficult for the Browns’ rookie quarterback, Dillon Gabrial, in what is only the second start of his young NFL career. Pittsburgh’s defense hasn’t necessarily been great this season, but they have a great opportunity to put together a get-right game on Sunday, with kickoff for this clash being scheduled for 1 p.m. ET.
