Aaron Rodgers Enjoys Heartwarming Moment With Ex-Teammate After Week 4

Rodgers linked up with Aaron Jones after the Steelers win

The Pittsburgh Steelers enjoyed a 24-21 victory over the Minnesota Vikings in Week 4, and once again, Aaron Rodgers turned in another strong performance under center. After earning this victory, though, one of the first things he wanted to do was reunite with one of his former teammates, running back Aaron Jones.

Rodgers and Jones spent six seasons playing together on the Green Bay Packers. While Rodgers was already a superstar by the time Jones arrived on the team in 2017, the former fifth-round pick gradually turned himself into one of the top running backs in the league, earning a Pro Bowl selection in 2020.

While Rodgers landed with the New York Jets in 2023, Jones spent one more season with the Packers before departing for the Vikings in 2024. Earlier this season, Jones landed on injured reserve with a hamstring injury, which is why he did not suit up for this game. Still, he and Rodgers made sure to find each other after this game, leading to a heartwarming moment between the two.

They may not play on the same team anymore, but the bonds many of these NFL players make during their time in the league are very strong. Rodgers played a big role in helping Jones turn himself into a star, and in turn, Jones became a weapon that helped the Packers emerge as one of the top teams in the NFC during his time as a starter for them.

While Jones won’t be happy that the Vikings lost, seeing Rodgers was definitely a win for him. Now, Minnesota will prepare for another international contest against the Cleveland Browns in Week 5, while Pittsburgh will enjoy its bye week before returning to action in Week 6.
