Why NFL Insider Feels Steelers Could Pursue Trade For Tyreek Hill

Hill could make Pittsburgh's offense explosive

Miami Dolphins wide receiver Tyreek Hill has become a hot topic in trade discussions this season. ESPN’s NFL Insider Jeremy Fowler thinks the Pittsburgh Steelers could acquire Hill as the NFL trade deadline approaches.

“The Steelers could have one more move in them, and I’d be willing to bet they’d at least have a conversation on Tyreek Hill if Miami engaged,” Folwer wrote Wednesday.

Pittsburgh has a history of actively trading for wide receivers, and this offseason was no exception. The team made a splash by acquiring DK Metcalf from the Seattle Seahawks while also sending its own receiver, George Pickens, to the Dallas Cowboys.

The Dolphins currently have a 0-3 record. If Miami does not improve its performance, the front office may consider parting ways with Hill, who has one year left on his contract after this season.

Despite Miami’s struggles, Hill has been a standout in its offense. The 31-year-old receiver has made 15 receptions for 198 yards and one touchdown over three games.

If the Steelers somehow trade for Hill, he could be the missing piece the offense needs to stretch the field and get quarterback Aaron Rodgers going.
