Terry Bradshaw Has Lost Faith In Aaron Rodgers, Steelers Offense

Rodgers has 14 games to turn Pittsburgh's offense around

Terry Bradshaw won four Super Bowls with the Steelers, but he believes Aaron Rodgers will struggle to win one in Pittsburgh.

Bradshaw believes Rodgers cannot win without a great team, and he feels Pittsburgh’s offense does not excel in any area.

“He’s (Rodgers) truly one of the greats that we’ve had, but not now, not at this stage of his life, unless he’s on a great football team, and that’s not a great football team,” Bradshaw told USA Today Sports Seriously on Monday. “Our offensive line in Pittsburgh has not been good for the last few years. Why they haven’t addressed it to try and fix it, I don’t know. Receivers are basically so-so.”

Rodgers has had an average start to this season, passing for 586 yards, with seven touchdowns and three interceptions across three games.

When the Steelers signed Rodgers this offseason, they likely expected the offense to show more energy than in the past few years, but it appears to be just as stale.

According to Pro Football Focus, Pittsburgh ranks 30th in offense. The Steelers are 23rd or lower in passing, running, receiving and pass blocking grades.

The only positive takeaway from the Steelers thus far is that their defense has performed well, forcing five turnovers in Sunday’s win against the New England Patriots. They currently are tied for first place in the AFC North with a 2-1 record.
