The Pittsburgh Steelers are aiming for a playoff berth for the third consecutive season. A victory over the New England Patriots on Sunday will bring them closer to that goal.
According to DraftKings, the Steelers have +135 odds of making the playoffs, which ranks them second-best in the AFC North and eighth-best in the conference.
Bleacher Report’s Brad Gagnon is not worried about the Steelers’ playoff odds, and is betting on Pittsburgh to reach the postseason.
“I gotta say, considering the Burrow situation as well as the fact the AFC West could cannibalize each other, it’s surprising the Steelers are still getting plus odds on this,” Gagnon wrote Wednesday. “There’s a decent chance they’re in first place with a 3-1 record entering their Week 5 bye.”
If the Steelers win Sunday, they will have a 2-1 record heading into a portion of their schedule where they play the Minnesota Vikings, Cleveland Browns and Cincinnati Bengals.

Minnesota and Cincinnati will be relying on backup quarterbacks, while the Browns may start rookie quarterback Dillon Gabriel by the time the Steelers face them in early October.
Pittsburgh has the potential to be 5-1 after playing against New England, Minnesota, Cleveland and Cincinnati, which would position them well as they head into the final 11 games on its schedule.
