One of Steelers’ Newest Additions Cracks NFL Top 100 List Ahead Of 2024 Season

How will his first season in Pittsburgh go?

The Pittsburgh Steelers have been well-represented in the NFL Top 100 Players of 2024 list, with three players making the list between 61-100. There is sure to be at least one more Pittsburgh player added to this list, most likely as they release the top 10.

The beginning of the annual NFL Top 100 Players list kicked off on Monday, July 22nd, as voted on by the NFL players directly. Players 100-71 were revealed before, including Steelers Cameron Heyward at No. 98 and Minkah Fitzpatrick at No. 79.

With numbers 70-61 being released Wednesday night, Pittsburgh was ecstatic to see another star defender making the list, with Patrick Queen landing at No.64.

“One of the Ravens’ brightest spots on defense, Queen produced his best season in 2023, racking up 133 tackles (nine for loss), 3.5 sacks, one interception and one forced fumble,” according to Christian Gonzales of NFL.com. “Queen was named to his first Pro Bowl and garnered second-team All-Pro honors. The 24-year-old linebacker has never missed a game in his four-year NFL career, starting in all 67 regular-season games since he was drafted. Queen will be on a different team in 2024 after signing a three-year, $41 million deal with the AFC North rival Steelers.”

Queen was one of the major additions that the Steelers added during this offseason. After coming off his best season, Queen joins a star-studded defense headlined by T.J. Watt, Minkah Fitzpatrick, and Cameron Heyward. Adding in other new addition Donte Jackson and second year breakout candidate Joey Porter Jr. rounds out a defense that is sure to cause problems for the entire league.

After coming off a 10-7 regular season and first round playoff exit last season, the Steelers are in a great position to make a deep run into the playoffs in the upcoming season.
