Steelers Throwback Uniforms Get Roasted By Fans On Social Media

Pittsburgh's new uniforms are getting destroyed by fans

With the 2025 season drawing near, the Pittsburgh Steelers unveiled their new throwback uniforms for the upcoming campaign on Monday morning. However, it didn’t take very long for fans on social media to begin bashing the Steelers’ new look.

This isn’t the first time Pittsburgh has turned back the clock when it comes to the fashion department, and this time, they are paying tribute to their 1933 team with their newest threads. The stripes on the jersey and the beige pants are a direct tribute to that team, while the helmet was reimagined with inspiration from the 1930s and 1960s.

The Steelers’ previous throwback uniforms have been divisive to say the least, and unsurprisingly, this one has also caused a stir online. While some fans appreciated the team’s tribute to their roots, many felt that the uniform simply did not look good, which was evident in the replies to this post from Pittsburgh on X.

@SteelersWin109 said “beige pants are hideous twin,” which is something that several other fans agreed with.

@Degen__inc dislikes the entire concept, saying, “What were y’all thinking bringing this back? So ugly.”

@shawnwan9 took it a step further, labeling these as “the ugliest jerseys ever,” which is saying something.

All in all, the reception to these jerseys appears to be somewhere between middling and negative, but ultimately, the Steelers won’t care, as long as they win games while wearing them. First, they have to make it to the regular season, with their training camp action kicking off on July 24.
