The 2025 MLB All-Star Game is in the books. But we can’t turn the page without first acknowledging the scene Tuesday on the red carpet. That’s where Pittsburgh Pirates ace Paul Skenes and girlfriend Livvy Dunne turned heads.
At one point, Skenes stopped and bent down on one knee to adjust a strap on Dunne’s shoe. She captured the moment in time on Instagram with the caption, “Gentleman Paul Skenes.”
The NIL influencer, a former gymnastics champion at LSU, also shared a video on TikTok with the caption, “Big P to the rescue.”
While making their way in, Dunne and Skenes answered questions from MLB Network. One was about Skenes’ individual success with the Pirates still stuck in last place in the National League Central. The right-hander has just four wins this season but leads the majors with a 2.01 ERA.
“Yes (wins and losses matter). They do,” Skenes said. “It’s not a perfect stat. It definitely matters because I think it’s indicative of whether you’re in the game when the game is being decided, I guess.

“If you’re helping your team win or lose, you’re probably in the game at that time, I think,” the two-time All-Star added.
Skenes, 23, then went out and started the All-Star Game for the National League and threw a scoreless inning. He struck out a pair of American League batters. Skenes threw 14 pitches, nine of which were strikes.
Dunne, 22, had a front-row seat for the festivities and continues to bask in her boyfriend’s glow.
“Right now it’s trying to go to as many baseball games as I can,” Dunne said, when asked about her current plans.

“I’ve really enjoyed watching him, but right now, I’m also going to try to do more performing arts stuff myself. I’ve always loved to perform as a gymnast, whether it’s diving into acting or some kind of other art, I’ve always been passionate about.”
Skenes and the Pirates return to action on Friday when they begin a nine-game home stand. Up first is a weekend series against the Chicago White Sox at PNC Park.
