George Pickens Throws Not-So-Subtle Jab At Steelers After Trade With Dolphins

It's not the first time Pickens has taken a shot at his former team

George Pickens has moved on from the Pittsburgh Steelers, he says. However, that didn’t stop the outspoken wide receiver from reacting to his former team’s blockbuster trade with the Miami Dolphins.

Pickens posted a shoutout of sorts to former teammate Minkah Fitzpatrick, who Pittsburgh traded to Miami as part of a bigger deal Monday. It also included a not-so-subtle dig at the Steel City and organization.

“Super happy for you broski!!!!!” Pickens wrote on Instagram. “Back to beautiful places in life lol.”

The Steelers acquired cornerback Jalen Ramsey and tight end Jonnu Smith in the trade. Miami received Fitzpatrick and will benefit from a late-round pick swap.

Pickens, of course, was traded to the Dallas Cowboys in May. It’s been reported Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin was a driving factor in the trade, though the Steelers publicly summarized the deal as one where both parties would benefit from a fresh start.
