Aaron Rodgers signed with the Pittsburgh Steelers this offseason, but the veteran quarterback doesn’t expect the Steel City will serve as his long-term home.
That’s because the 41-year-old signal-caller believes the 2025 campaign will be his final one.
“Yeah, I’m pretty sure this is it,” Rodgers said during an appearance on the “Pat McAfee Show” on Tuesday. “That’s why we just did a one-year deal. The Steelers didn’t need to put any extra years on that or anything. This was really about finishing with a lot of love, fun and peace for the career that I’ve had. I’ve played 20 freaking years. It’s been a long, long run. I’ve enjoyed it.
“What better place to finish than in one of the cornerstone franchises of the NFL, with Mike Tomlin and a great group of leadership and great guys, in a city that expects you to win.”
Rodgers signed a one-year deal with a maximum value of $19.5 million, including a $13.65 million base salary.
