DeShon Elliott has at least a couple of seasons left with the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Elliott agreed to terms on a two-year extension on Monday, according to Tom Pelissero of NFL Media. Elliott’s deal is worth up to $12.5 millions and includes $9.21M in guarantees, rewarding him for a stellar first season with The Black and Gold.
Elliott, 28, was one of the club’s best run defenders last year with two forced fumbles, three fumble recoveries, four tackles for loss and 108 combined tackles — a spectacular number for a defensive back. The Steelers essentially plucked him from the scrap heap, too, as he was left looking for a deal after unspectacular stints with the Baltimore Ravens, Detroit Lions and Miami Dolphins.
Pittsburgh has roughly $18 million in cap room following the deal, per Over The Cap.
