Pittsburgh Penguins legend Jaromir Jagr is still playing professional hockey at the age of 53.
The two-time Stanley Cup champion retired from the NHL after the 2017-18 season and immediately joined the Czech Republic Hockey League, where he has continued his career for the last nine years.
How exactly does Jagr stay fit enough to still compete at a high level? A video emerged on social media showing the rather unique training regimen of the 1999 Hart Memorial Trophy winner.
Instead of using 10-ounce training pucks, Jagr takes one-timers by shooting rubber rings or tires, equivalent to a medicine ball, into the net. What’s even more impressive is that the five-time Art Ross winner was lifting the weighted apparatus top shelf with his wrist shots.

Jagr amassed 766 goals and 1,155 assists across 1,733 NHL games with the Penguins, Washington Capitals, New York Rangers, Philadelphia Flyers, Dallas Stars, Boston Bruins, New Jersey Devils, Florida Panthers and Calgary Flames. His 1,921 points rank second all-time in league history, behind only Wayne Gretzky.
