Former NFL Star Says Steelers Will ‘100%’ Land Aaron Rodgers

Keyshawn Johnson is confident... for some reason

Aaron Rodgers’ inability to make a decision has caused some serious anxiety among fans of the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Keyshawn Johnson thinks everything will work out, though — for whatever that’s worth.

“He’s going 100%,” Johnson told his co-hosts on Friday’s episode of “Speak” on FS1. “Do you think that Aaron Rodgers wants to hold them hostage and then leave them standing at the altar? I don’t. I believe he will be at OTAs.”

Johnson’s over-the-top optimism probably should be taken with a grain of salt, as there aren’t any obvious ties between the 41-year-old quarterback and the 52-year-old retired wide receiver. Organized team activities (OTAs) start May 27, after all, so an agreement would need to be made rather quickly for that prognostication to come true.

Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin and team president Art Rooney II have remained confident that a deal will ultimately come to fruition. Rodgers has been dealing with off-the-field circumstances and is solely focused on that for the time being, but there could be light at the end of this long, long tunnel.
