The Pittsburgh Steelers had some business to attend to before the 2025 NFL Draft.
Steelers running back Jaylen Warren reportedly signed the team’s one-year restricted free-agent tender on Tuesday, per Nick Farabaugh of PennLive.
Warren was one of just two players that hadn’t signed his tender, along with Atlanta Falcons offensive lineman Ryan Neuzil. Pittsburgh ultimately used the second-round tender, which ends up as a one-year deal worth $5.346 million. The Steelers now hold onto one of their most reliable offensive weapons, while he pushes things off one year and is now scheduled for unrestricted free agency in 2026.
Warren became the team’s lead back down the stretch, finishing with over 800 combined rushing and receiving yards despite battling hamstring and knee injuries throughout the season.
The Steelers likely will add around him during the weekend, with the expectation being that they’ll grab a running back at some point in the middle of the draft.
