Questions continue to linger about the Steelers quarterback situation, and Ryan Clark believes the answer is in the 2025 NFL Draft.
The former Steeler turned NFL analyst wants Pittsburgh to make an aggressive trade for Shedeur Sanders, one of the top quarterback prospects in the class.
“I think that move would be something that makes sense for Omar Khan,” Clark said on ESPN’s “NFL Live” on Friday, as transcribed by Yahoo Sports. “Omar Khan has worked the general manager position in Pittsburgh like no one ever has. He’s been aggressive. You go out, and you get DK Metcalf to add to George Pickens and Pat Freiermuth. I think this is what you have to do.”
Sanders’ draft slot is a hot topic leading into April’s event. Some experts believe he’ll land in the top three while others think the Colorado product could slide down the board.
A draft-night slide would be the best outcome for the Steelers, especially since the Cleveland Browns (No. 2) and New York Giants (No. 3) might not want to trade all the way down to Pittsburgh (No. 21).
