Veteran Defender Reportedly Leaves Steelers To Join AFC Contender

Larry Ogunjobi is headed to Buffalo

The Pittsburgh Steelers reportedly lost an underrated defender Wednesday.

Larry Ogunjobi is set to sign a one-year deal with the Buffalo Bills, according to NFL Media’s Ian Rapoport. Ogunjobi’s deal reportedly will have $8 million guaranteed, while also including incentives that could bring the total value to $10 million.

Ogunjobi had an up-and-down three seasons in Pittsburgh, though he has long been a starter in the NFL. The Bills desperately need help on the interior defensive line, and while the 30-year-old doesn’t necessarily fit the big, run-stuffing role they need to fill, he will serve as a decent backup to Ed Oliver.

Buffalo reportedly also landed Joey Bosa on Wednesday.

The Steelers have lost quite a few key free agents, though the addition of DK Metcalf more than makes up for it in the minds of many fans.
