NFL Analyst Labels Steelers ‘Perfect’ Trade Fit For Deebo Samuel

Samuel reportedly has permission to find a trade suitor

Deebo Samuel is on the trade block and the Pittsburgh Steelers are thought to be a potential suitor.

The 49ers gave Samuel permission to find a trade partner, the veteran playmaker told ESPN’s Adam Schefter on Super Bowl Sunday.

Not long after that the receiver-needy Steelers were thrust into speculation as a viable landing spot. Pittsburgh could greatly benefit from adding playmakers to its offense with George Pickens the lone threat in the receiver room.

NFL analyst Ian Hartitz labeled the Steelers as a “perfect” fit for Samuel while ESPN’s Mina Kimes wrote on X that Pittsburgh “makes sense.”

Samuel, who’s entering his age-29 season after a down campaign in 2024, is expected to fetch the Niners a Day 3 draft pick in return. He has one season left on his contract, which could mean the Steelers or another interested team will try to extend Samuel past the 2025 season.
