Cooper Kupp Trade: Receiver-Needy Steelers Viewed As Viable Landing Spot

The veteran pass-catcher is on the trade block

Cooper Kupp is on the trade block and the Steelers are in need of receiver help.

Those combination of factors lead many to believe Pittsburgh could be a viable landing spot for Kupp, who announced Monday night the Los Angeles Rams are looking to trade him.

Kupp is set to enter his age-32 season and is beyond his prime having missed time in each of the last three seasons. However, that’s not to say Kupp isn’t capable of being a productive pass-catcher whether he lands with Mike Tomlin’s team or elsewhere.

The Steelers are listed among the best fits for Kupp by USA Today, CBS Sports and other outlets.

Kupp is coming off a 2024 campaign in which he caught 67 passes for 710 yards and six touchdowns. He’s been limited to 201 receptions for 2,259 yards and 17 receptions the last three seasons (33 games).
