Steelers Rushed Out Of Playoffs By Derrick Henry, Rival Ravens

A brutal game from start to finish

The Pittsburgh Steelers had yet another uneventful showing in the playoffs, this time being eliminated by their top rival in a one-sided NFL Wild Card Round face-off.

Pittsburgh fell to the Ravens by a score of 28-14 on Saturday night, bouncing them out of the playoffs. The loss marked a franchise record sixth-straight playoff loss for the Steelers — moving head coach Mike Tomlin’s playoff record to 8-11 on the season.

The main force behind the Ravens’ offense was Derrick Henry, who left the Steelers defense looking for answers when he ran for 186 rushing yards on 26 carries, adding two touchdowns on the evening. Pittsburgh totaled 299 yards on the ground with Lamar Jackson adding 81 rushing yards of his own.

For the Steelers, Russell Wilson had a fine game — going 20-of-29 with 270 passing yards and two touchdowns. Unfortunately for Pittsburgh, they weren’t able to have much rushing success. The team finished with just 29 yards on the ground, which was the biggest difference maker between the two teams.

The Steelers haven’t won a playoff game since 2016, when they made the AFC Championship game but came up short against the New England Patriots.
