The Pittsburgh Steelers didn’t have the game they wanted to have on Saturday against the Baltimore Ravens.
Pittsburgh faced off against one of its biggest rivals and unfortunately fell, 34-17. The Steelers and Ravens now are tied atop the AFC North standings with 10-5 records. The Steelers certainly can win the division over the final two weeks of the regular season after the Week 16 loss, but it’s more difficult now.
The Steelers’ offense wasn’t at full strength on Saturday with George Pickens out and it showed. Could the Steelers get a reinforcement soon, though?
Former Steelers Pro Bowler Diontae Johnson is available after being waived by the Ravens and NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport mentioned Pittsburgh as a possible landing spot.
“Couple of teams to keep an eye on: the (Los Angeles Chargers), the Steelers, and of course the (Kansas City Chiefs),” Rapoport said.

Johnson was selected in the third round of the 2019 National Football League Draft and spent the first five seasons of his NFL career with the Steelers. He was traded to the Carolina Panthers and then they dealt him to the Ravens. Things didn’t work out in Baltimore and now he’s out there for another team to pick up.
Maybe that will end up being the Steelers. Pittsburgh certainly could use a boost in the wide receiver room right now with Pickens dealing with a hamstring injury. Bringing Johnson back makes almost too much sense to help down the stretch.
