Steelers Pro Bowler Talks Relationship With Ravens Ahead Of Clash

The Steelers made the right move

The Pittsburgh Steelers will be facing off against one of their biggest rivals on Sunday as they take on the Baltimore Ravens.

The winner of the Week 11 clash will hold on to the top spot in the AFC North. Pittsburgh currently has a 7-2 record while the Ravens are sitting at 7-3. It’s going to be an interesting game and there are a few players facing off against their old teams.

Former Steelers star Diontae Johnson now calls the Ravens home. Former Ravens Pro Bowler Patrick Queen also switched sides in the rivalry and joined the Steelers ahead of the 2024 season. He was a Pro Bowler and yet he said that the Ravens actually didn’t offer him a contract to return, as transcribed by ESPN’s Brooke Pryor.

“I wasn’t wanted back,” Queen said. “I didn’t get the offer back, and it is definitely kind upsetting being there for four years and the bond that you grow with your teammates and stuff. The first few months, you definitely go through those feelings.

“Now after playing games, you just go by and just want to win games. You want to win with your teammates, your new teammates; you want to bond with those guys. Everything that you do as far as the organization that you’re at now. I will have feelings. Obviously anybody in my position would this week, so I’m just taking one day at a time, whatever happens, happens.”

Queen was selected in the first round of the 2020 National Football League Draft by the Ravens and spent the first four seasons of his carer in Baltimore. Hopefully, he can help the Steelers come out on top in this pivotal matchup.
