Who will be under center for the Pittsburgh Steelers when they take on the New York Jets on Sunday?
The 4-2 Steelers will welcome the Jets to Acrisure Stadium on Sunday night in what should be an interesting showdown. Pittsburgh has been good this season and has high hopes for the rest of the campaign with a playoff spot certainly a possibility.
The Steelers are expected to be the first team to face off against the Jets with star receiver Davante Adams in the lineup after recently being acquired in a major trade.
New York may not be the only team that looks different on Sunday.
There has been a lot of speculation about whether or not the Steelers would make a change at quarterback from Justin Fields to Russell Wilson. Fields has led the way for the Steelers so far this season, but Wilson now is healthy. He has gotten some first-team repetitions in practice this week hinting a change could be coming.

The team hasn’t announced a change, but head coach Mike Tomlin said that he has made a decision on who will be the starter on Sunday. Tomlin said that he was going to keep the decision in-house, but star receiver George Pickens may have let it slip. Pickens said he’s been getting work in with Wilson “because this is his first start,” according to footage from ESPN’s Brooke Pryor.
“(We’ve) been getting on the same page after practicing throwing more than usual because this is his first start,” Pickens said.
This doesn’t guarantee that Wilson will be under center on Sunday, but it certainly seems like that will be the case.
