Steelers Running Back Najee Harris Expected To Play Against Colts

Harris was seen with a sling on his arm Monday

The Pittsburgh Steelers are 3-0 and coming off their best offensive game of the early season.

Everyone knew Pittsburgh’s defense would be elite this season, but the offense shone in their Week 3 matchup against the Los Angeles Chargers. Justin Fields had his best game of the season as Russell Wilson remains out with a calf injury, throwing for 245 yards, a touchdown, and a pick. The Steelers also tallied 114 yards on the ground, with Najee Harris leading the way with 70 yards on 18 carries.

Harris is expected to be fine and will likely play in the Steelers’ next game after being seen with a sling on his arm according to NFL Insider Jordan Schultz.

“Sources: Steelers RB Najee Harris, who was seen in the locker room with a sling on his right arm on Monday, is expected to be fine and is likely to be ready for Sunday’s game vs the Colts,” Schultz said. “There doesn’t seem to be any concern. Harris has totaled 239 yards through 3 games for undefeated Pittsburgh.”

Harris has been a major factor for the Steelers’ offense through the first three weeks. He’s averaging almost 80 total yards a game and has been a workhorse for the Steelers since being drafted in the first round in 2021.

Harris has never missed a game so far in his career, which has been great for Pittsburgh. With Jaylen Warren working through a hamstring injury that got him pulled from the game against the Chargers, the Steelers will need to lean into Harris as they look ahead to their Week 4 matchup against the Indianapolis Colts.
