The Pittsburgh Steelers certainly have a bright future.
Pittsburgh won 10 games last year and should be even better in 2024. Much of the talk of the offseason was the additions of quarterbacks Russell Wilson and Justin Fields. Wilson and Fields aren’t the only exciting players Pittsburgh has added, though.
The Steelers had a solid 2024 National Football League Draft and linebacker Payton Wilson has impressed so far in camp. He has been so solid that Bleacher Report’s Kristopher Knox ranked him among 10 “Draft Day Steals.”
“NC State’s Payton Wilson was another linebacker who fell later in the draft than he might have in past years,” Knox said. “However, his fall wasn’t entirely position-based. A significant shoulder injury and a pair of ACL tears in college left Wilson carrying some big medical concerns. According to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, multiple teams viewed the rookie as a short-term player…
“Only time will tell if Wilson will be a long-term contributor in Pittsburgh. However, it already looks like he’ll be an impact player in the immediate future. He kicked off his preseason debut with a tackle for loss and went on to record four solo stops and two assists against the Houston Texans.”

Wilson is expected to play a solid role for the Steelers in 2024 and should help improve the team’s already staunch defense. All in all, things are looking up for the Steelers.
