Steelers Already Called Fit For Chiefs Receiver In 2025 Free Agency

Pittsburgh could use a boost at receiver

The Pittsburgh Steelers likely will be an exciting team to watch in 2024.

Pittsburgh was good last year and should be even better this season. The Steelers made a handful of strategic moves this offseason and already are in a much better spot than they were in at the end of the 2023 season despite winning 10 games. Pittsburgh should be better this year, but the wide receiver position was mentioned by Bleacher Report as an area that could be improved and already linked the team to Kansas City Chiefs receiver Marquise Brown in free agency in 2025.

“2025 Free Agency: (Wide Receiver) Marquise Brown, Kansas City Chiefs,” Bleacher Report said. “If the Steelers can’t swing a trade to upgrade their wide receiver room now, it will have to become a major priority in free agency next season.

“There are a few receivers set to become free agents who would make sense, and Marquise Brown is one of them. He should show off what he can do within the Kansas City offense before cashing in next offseason. Brown is not an ideal No. 1 receiver, but his speed and ability to create after the catch would pair well with George Pickens’ bullying style.”

Brown has developed into a very solid receiver throughout his five-year National Football League career and would look good in a Steelers jersey. While this is the case, it’s far too early to predict anything about 2025 free agency when the 2024 campaign hasn’t even kicked off. It would be great to see Brown in Pittsburgh, but that is a discussion for next summer, not this one.
