Unanimous Winner Chosen In Steelers-Texans AFC Wild-Card Game

"A turnover or special-teams miscue could flip this game in either direction"

The Pittsburgh Steelers will have the playoff experience edge at both head coach and quarterback with Mike Tomlin and Aaron Rodgers, respectively, in their AFC wild-card game vs. the Houston Texans.

The Steelers also have homefield advantage for Monday night’s contest, but not many analysts and fans like Pittsburgh’s chances.

NFL.com’s editors made their wild-card round picks on Thursday, with all five members taking Houston on the road.

If it’s any consolation for Steelers fans, the quintet of media members all see the Texans winning a one-score game.

“DeMeco Ryans’ team is on a run rarely seen in the NFL. Houston has lost one time since the week before Halloween. Scary stuff,” senior editor Dan Parr said. “A turnover or special-teams miscue could flip this game in either direction, and the Steelers’ 23-game home winning streak in Monday night games — dating back to 1992 — is a compelling stat. I just view the Texans as the team with more players who can win their individual matchups and secure a hard-fought ticket to the Divisional Round.”
