Aaron Rodgers Still Not ‘Getting Enough Credit’ For Steelers’ Stunning Win Vs. Ravens

Rodgers' heroic performance was the stuff of legends

The Pittsburgh Steelers beat the Baltimore Ravens 26-24 on Sunday night, and Aaron Rodgers was the main reason why.

With a playoff berth and the Steelers’ season on the line, Rodgers delivered one of his best games of the year. The 42-year-old threw for a season-high 294 passing yards and busted out his longest run in seven years. He was also nails in the fourth quarter, leading multiple scoring drives and throwing the game-winning touchdown with a minute left.

Even more remarkably, Rodgers did it all without his top receiver, DK Metcalf, who missed the game with a suspension. That forced him to rely on his relatively weak supporting cast.

Kenneth Gainwell, a running back, led the team in catches and receiving yards. Aging veterans Adam Thielen and Marquez Valdes-Scantling were forced to play large roles as well, with Thielen leading the team’s wide receivers in receptions.

Given the stakes, his age and the lack of help around him, it was one of the most impressive games of Rodgers’ career.

“I think you have to give…the most credit you can ever give to 42-year-old Aaron Rodgers,” Barstool’s “Picks Central” podcast said on Monday. “I don’t think it’s getting enough credit. It’s one of the most impressive wins I’ve seen in a long time when you have Adam Thielen as basically your number one (receiver).”

And yet, Rodgers still found a way to outduel Lamar Jackson and win the game, proving once again why he’s one of the greatest quarterbacks in NFL history, no matter who he’s throwing to.
