Steelers’ Mike Tomlin Gives Predictable Reaction To DK Metcalf Return

'We're not going to exhale'

The Pittsburgh Steelers will once again be with the services of wide receiver DK Metcalf during their wild-card matchup with the Houston Texans on Monday.

Metcalf, who was handed a two-game suspension after making contact with a fan during his club’s Week 16 victory over the Detroit Lions, will return to the fold for the postseason. Metcalf, in his first media availability since being reinstated, was asked several times to share details regarding the suspension and the appeal process but refused on Monday.

Mike Tomlin, his head coach, provided some substance during his own media availability on Tuesday.

“It’s certainly awesome to have DK back, but we’re not going to exhale and think that DK automatically with his presence is gonna be a difference, or the difference,” Tomlin said. “Football’s the ultimate team game, it’s gonna require great effort from all parties involved, but certainly excited about doing it with him.”
