Opening in 2001, the venue formerly known as Heinz Field has seen some legendary moments, from big wins to big scenes in “The Dark Knight Rises.” Acrisure Stadium has plenty of features, from the Great Hall to the classic gold seats, and a cold game in Pittsburgh always results in a great atmosphere to watch the Steelers.

Here’s everything you need to know when it comes to parking near Acrisure Stadium.

Official parking lots near Acrisure Stadium
There are several parking options around Acrisure Stadium. The Champions Parking Garage is designated for game day events, located at the corner of West General Robinson Street and Tony Dorsett Drive.

Parking at Acrisure Stadium can cost anywhere between $20 and $60 on game and event days. It is recommended to purchase parking ahead of time.

Parking lots typically open five hours before the start of Steelers games. Specific times for other events can be found on the Acrisure Stadium website.

In addition to those lots, fans can park near Rivers Casino and the Kamin Science Center. They can also check out Pittsburgh Public Parking.
There is a shuttle service via the Gateway Clipper for fans who can’t secure on-site parking.

The shuttle service starts three hours before each game, and return trips begin at the start of the fourth quarter and continue until an hour after the game ends. A one-way ticket is $8, and a round-trip ticket is $15.
Tailgating and fan-friendly areas
Tailgating is permitted at stadium parking lots but not parking garages. Grills and open flames are only allowed in surface lots. Glass bottles are not allowed, and fans must adhere to the clear bag policy.
Stage AE is the ultimate tailgating experience, and admission is free. The official tailgate includes live music, opportunities to win prizes and food and drink specials.
Public transit and park-and-ride options
Those interested in using public transportation to get to the game can take the Port Authority’s free T Light Rail service that has service from downtown Pittsburgh to the North Shore.
Rideshare pick-up and drop-off zones will be located at the Northeast Corner, the intersection of Art Rooney Avenue and Reedsdale Street and the Southwest Corner on North Shore Drive.
