NFL Analyst Heaps Praise On Aaron Rodgers For ‘Signature Performance’ Vs. Ravens

Rodgers made several unbelievable throws

Many players contributed to the Pittsburgh Steelers’ wild 26-24 win over the Baltimore Ravens on Sunday Night Football, but Aaron Rodgers got most of the credit during Monday’s analysis.

Colin Cowherd praised Rodgers for carrying the Steelers to the playoffs this year, especially in the second half of the season. NFL analyst and former NFL quarterback Dan Orlovsky also showered the four-time NFL MVP with praise during Monday’s episode of “Get Up.”

“(The Steelers) are going on because this was a signature performance by Aaron Rodgers, and probably the most signature in four years,” Orlovsky said. “There are throws in that game, critical moments, I think only Rodgers makes.”

Orlovsky specifically praised Rodgers for several big third-down conversions that helped sustain Pittsburgh’s drives and ultimately win the game.

Rodgers got off to a slow start but got better as the game progressed, saving his best for last. He lit up the Ravens in the fourth quarter, hitting Calvin Austin III for the game-winning touchdown with just under a minute remaining.

With a playoff berth on the line in the Steelers’ biggest game of the season, Rodgers completed 31 of his 47 pass attempts for a season-high 294 passing yards and a touchdown. He also rushed for a season-high 20 yards and didn’t turn the ball over, outdueling Lamar Jackson for the second time this year.

Rodgers may not be the best quarterback in the game anymore, but he’s still a very good one who can make great plays and come through in big moments. Time will tell if he’s still good enough to win a playoff game.
